When we are young, we adore our parents. Then one day, we get embarrassed by the sight of them. Why is that? Ever wonder how you even felt so ashamed being in your own skin as a teenager, and now you laugh at the fact that you can’t even remember what was so shameful?
So what is one thing you like about yourself now, that you were ashamed of as a kid?
For me it’s being an introvert.
When I was in high school, I was a book worm who forced myself to be social because I wanted to be like my sister. Plus my siblings used to make fun of me, so I had to at least try to care about friends.
I was embarrassed to admit it, but I liked being in my head. I still do.
In my aging (or blossoming!) years, I love finding time to hole up in my bat cave and just write or read or watch Gilmore… I mean Game of Thrones.
