Some days are harder than others. When I get caught up in the bad news vortex, I feel bad for the human beings in my close or distant circles. So many people are down, or suffering. And even though people put on a happy face, there is suffering beneath the layers.
Frankly this suffering is not only happening to the “lesser” privileged. In fact, an acquaintance recently told me his top clients in therapy right now are the 40-something tech male workers who feel stuck in the cycle of waiting every six months to be vested and watching the stock ever rise (yes, at Amazon). And they are not fulfilled. They are numb. They want to know if this is as good as it gets.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Find reasons to care beyond a stock price. Human connection is much more rewarding than money and than buying stuff.
Be kind. Be safe. Be appropriate. Now go. #covertleadershipmission #RPCL #MoreReasonsToCare
