Something happens as we mature through time. We either pause daily to look in the mirror and like what we see, or we can’t see ourselves very well.
The question is: Do we know who we are?
I can say for sure that I do, and I don’t. I am confident that I know who I am today because I know what I want for my life. But when push comes to shove, is every part of my entire being fulfilled? Maybe not the selfish part. I suppress that mostly to give to others. So I have to remind myself to be a little selfish every day, so that I can extend myself further along the way of helping others.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Be a little selfish everyday. Then let go of self-focus to be present for others. Focusing on you allows you to breathe through stress and let go of your anxiety in order to be more present for others.
