I was having lunch with a close friend and powerhouse in the world of architecture design and luxury development, and we ended up talking about how some people are fueled by change and others are happier aiming for mediocrity during an unsettling geopolitical era.
Mediocrity is the old normal. Although it used to be safe, I believe that mediocrity is no longer a safe bet. It’s the riskiest proposition we could imagine. Status quo will create more civil unrest. Anger will continue to be the #newnormal until we find a way to create a more civil, kind, human and prosperous #newnormal.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Combat the desire to aim for mediocrity and status quo. Take your blinders off. Bushwhack your trail until you shine bright enough to show others the way to a better community.
