These are tough times for most of us living paycheck to paycheck. And while I’m not driven by money, I have been extremely fortunate to have a supportive community who is truly invested in my well being as much as I have been in theirs. That said, my husband and I still ran out of money in our checking account today! Needless to say, we got it covered (barely) based on timing of getting paid on contracts.
So how do we ensure we remain generous yet resilient to protect our emotional well being?
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Invest whole heartedly in those relationships where collective success is desired. If one wins and one loses, it’s not meant to be. And even if you are giving it your all, and still struggling to keep your bank account in check, the desire to do good far outweighs the worry of financial woes. These are tough times for everyone. Choose to live your daily journey, not the destination of some future successful state. Life is tenuous, at best.
