Yesterday was a rock bottom day. Everyone has them. I just try not to let mine last longer than a day.
So when I woke up just as fretful, I did what any Type A person would do. Emailed Seth to see if I could take his AltMBA course on a scholarship. Called my cycling gym to get an extension on a pass I’ve let sit too long and took a grueling class. Rearranged appointments so I could have more open networking time for business purposes. Successfully prepared for a client call and slayed it.
I think what hit me was the fact that I lost my parter in brains for a pretty big assignment, and needed a sounding board. I found my other unofficial partner in crime in a time of need. But it reminded me what I can’t have for now – an effortless partnership.
If you hit emotional rock bottom, then look up and swim like hell out of the fray. Grab a helping hand to lift you out of the swirling sea of emotions. Get in your slayer stance and armor up. Fear be gone.
Your mission to achieve Superhumanness: Self care to the rescue, when you’ve hit emotional rock bottom. Human up and ask for a hand up and out of the murk, so it doesn’t last any longer than that.
Drowning in sorrow is not allowed here after 0’dark-thirty.
Be kind along your journey and remember, you got this!
