Although some might say they have career woes or regrets, I can honestly say that, when I can look back at all my jobs, my only regret is that I didn’t believe in myself sooner!
Knowing that, I probably would’ve made slightly different decisions, but accumulatively, I’m better for it. I’m fortunate enough to be able to say that I’ve learned from all of the experiences. I owe gratitude to those who have given me a chance, battle scars and all.
The other day a friend told me this. “You are successful. You have always been successful. Despite some of the places you’ve worked at even, you were successful. You were successful then, and you are successful now”.
That was quite a pep talk. It was both unexpected and refreshing.
We could all be there for one another, and I hope it happens more and more within our covert community, and to remind ourselves that a battle scar can fade!
