How do we attract “moms”?

There is nothing more rewarding than hearing, yes, finally hearing, a bunch of folks crowded around a table at work and talking about attracting moms.

I have a friend who is the breadwinner and works for a supplier to a very big and well known sporting goods brand. She is constantly being called on to come back to this famous company (where we all used to work) and she just shakes her head.

“Why would I”, she told a group of friends, “when I have it so good where I am? I don’t have to hop on a plane every week. I get in early and leave at five so I can spend time with my family”.

My travel stories were not as harrowing as my friends’ stories when it came to the plethora of back to back trips and last minute demands to fly for the boss with no second thought. They gave up friend time and many social activities to live for the company.

Now I’m working with companies who care to create flexibility and attract the brain power of all the under-estimated mamas out there.

I think it’s important we keep asking the question how do we attract moms, and find creative solutions. We won’t regret it!
