When we get promoted, we don’t always know what it means at first. We feel the same today with our new title as we did yesterday. The difference is that others look at us differently. And we can’t always tell what they are thinking. Do they think we’re ready? Have we earned immediate respect or not?
Truth be told, that title needs to present an ability to see into the future and hold the future of the company in your hands. Maybe not exclusively, but as the leader who is inspiring others to feel the ownership and lead at every level.
