Today I was meeting with a new colleague about my role, and he was sharing his understanding of the current landscape at Company Z as a fairly new employee, himself.
One comment he made was that our boss was a creative, not necessarily a nuts and bolts guy. As he was saying this, I had to smile.
There is a lot about our new boss that glitters for me. I don’t think anyone can say anything that would change my mind (during my honeymoon period!)
So, here’s my glitter list for a manager:
1. Compassionate.
2. Considerate.
3. Intelligent
4. Experienced manager (having worked for other companies and managed teams).
5. Fun
6. Fair
