I was leaving the gym bright and early this morning and my gut told me to avoid the elevator and walk around the block to the parking lot. Was it my intuition? Or was it just a head game from too many horror flicks?
It could have been slight paranoia and probably the head game more than intuition.
Still, we all have emotional beliefs that cannot be logically explained. For instance, I can’t explain why, but I believe that acts of altruism will be more beneficial in my life than all of the money in the world can buy. Logically, I would like to have enough money to buy a Tesla to improve my carbon footprint. So, why? Why the hell don’t I just do any old job to get enough money to buy the damned Tesla?
Something stirring deep within the inner sanctum of my belly is driving me to want to make change for a greater good. I am not sure I can help it. I feel pride and hope for humanity, and an optimistic belief that we can conquer enough of the bad to make our global communities worth fighting for.
And logically, I value human life more than money.
