I watch my children model us as parents – not all good, of course. But I also watch them crossing so many lines to see where the edge is.
As adults, we have learned the hard way when we cross lines, so we prefer to stay within them. But there are two considerations for how to draw those boundaries as parents. One is that we may be too strict and impatient with those lines and the second is that we may need to teach our children that we are flexible, growing and learning through to the end.
