Sometimes I tend to see life as a roller coaster. There are those moments of blissful pause at the top of the track where everything seems in equilibrium, but that never lasts more than an instant before everything starts moving rapidly downward. The descent always scares me, or so I thought until I recently realized that the scariest part is not so much the process of spiraling down, as it is the anticipation of it. And to this confession, a friend very wisely said to me that life could also be seen as a succession of perfectly balanced little moments; that if you can re-center only on the present, life would seldom feel like a sudden plunge.
I am proud to say that I am working on seeing life through the present!
Your mission if you choose to accept it: See life through perfectly balanced little moments.
