Learning to Dream

One of my favorite things to watch on netflix is Glee. Yep. I guess I’m what’s termed a “Gleek”. Funny that geek is no longer classified as outcast. It’s sort of understood that we all have an inner geek. Mine is music shows, broadway, old movies and now Glee.

In one of the many episodes I’ve seen on netflix recently (I watch two or three at a time when, on rare occasions, the kids have gone to sleep and I’m actually still wide-eyed), the subject was learning to dream big enough to succeed. A theme that I am addressing in my life over and over, as a facilitator and personal subject matter expert (every time I realize my last job wasn’t measuring up)!

And it occurred to me (while watching Glee) that, as much as our focus has been late 20’s to 50’s, the characters in the show represent kids just graduating from high school and who are trying to “figure it all out”. Highnschool and college grads could potentially use a dose of our medicine.
