Change management is never immediate. And certainly not without expense – typically more than leaders would like. First of all, many industries are just not keeping up with technology solutions. So without making the investment, they are falling further behind, and making costly errors that many old-schooled leaders refuse to face head on.
And then you have this new generation that is so wired for instant gratification, that inefficiency is like a drag on their psyche… so they move on more quickly.
Here’s a tip: If it feels like change is being rammed down your throat, and you don’t get the decisions behind it, chances are high that it’s not going to work the way it was intended for anyone.
