What’s your thought on Staples, and the recent news that they are cutting employee hours to avoid paying for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) for their people? Have you ever decided to boycott a retail business for treating their employees poorly? I’ve done it to Walmart. And now it’s time to avoid Staples.
In in earlier blog, Agent P commented on a post by saying, “We need to support those companies that are pushing toward a more conscious use of their capital and resources. We need a new format for understanding this contribution and therefore the value”.
She was reinforcing the fact that we, the people, are the shareholders. We are no longer viewed as just “employees”. It’s like another pal said to his boss, YOU WORK FOR ME.
Time to buck up to this fact, Staples, and Corporate A.M. Wake up!
