Fear and Uncertainty at Work

When times are tough at work, our foes start to reveal themselves: fear and uncertainty. When that happens, it’s time to regroup. In my last post, I talked about why I like having an executive coach. That’s only one of several ways to deal with those thoughts that can drag you down.

I envy people who don’t let their emotional fears blur reality. Do they really exist? Most folks I’ve met or worked with or attended leadership conferences with have revealed a fear of being an imposter in some capacity, and within their field of expertise.

Both knowing that it’s very human, and we can be proactive before it gets the better of us, are the first steps to avoiding a train wreck at work.

Ever feel like fear is getting the best of you? Please share!
