When we abuse our most precious resource of time, it’s no wonder human beings push back. If I work 24/7 to meet a product or project or service deadline, what am I saving? If I compromise valuable time to fulfill others’ needs, what do I get in return?
If you haven’t asked, what’s time worth to you? Do you give up days and nights out of loyalty? Is it for money? Is it for freedom? What are you buying for yourself, with forsaken personal time?
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Turn your culture of now into being and living in the present, not being and living in urgency. It’s unhealthy to live in high stress. And some things are just meant to wait until tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.
Be kind. Be safe. Be appropriate. Now go!
