It’s spring. The almonds, the first of the fruit trees of the season, are in full glorious bloom. Buds and shoots are forming on other trees. The first phase of a work assignment just ended and the next phase is slowly beginning. Several new projects start this week. The girls’ term at school ends on Wednesday and their new term starts right after their one-week break. It’s a transition time, full of endings and new beginnings.
It’s a good reminder for me to pause. To revel in the silence for a spell. To momentarily calm the chaos and simply be.
And then, to reflect.
Do I still want to achieve the same long-term plan or target or goal? Or do I want to go somewhere else?
And if the endpoint is still valid, am I on track to achieve success? Is the path a good one? Does it have integrity? Does it align with who I am? Is it efficient and effective? What has worked? What has not? Is there a better way?
And you? Do you seize the opportunity of the transition into spring to realign your path?
