I was perusing some of Seth Godin’s blogs recently and his January 5th post struck a chord within my cerebral orchestra of making sense of things.
His topic Is Kindness a Luxury? We can all make room for kindness in our lives. Unlike the bank account that actually gets depleted, our human emotions such as fear or anxiety or stress shouldn’t deplete our kindness bank.
Kindness rewards the giver as well.
We gain from being kind to others – it’s a way of actually repleting our deficits, too.
Your mission, if you choose to accept:
Grab your debit card and take out five $1 dollar bills. Every day you walk or drive by a person on the street, consider handing over one dollar a day, or five at once. While you’re at it, look them in the eyes and smile.
