Blind faith is not always healthy. It implies we aren’t even making a choice, it’s just what we’ve learned. No questions asked.
We can CHOOSE to believe that there is more than what we’ve always believed, by trusting sources that have been established and verified for a long time, based on ethics not religion or politics.
And we need to remember that even if some of our existing sources tell us that “those” sources are not to be trusted, we need to ask WHY? What’s in it for you, if we decide to believe you?
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Choose trust of credible, ethical and unbiased sources. Those that have been established as experts for the right reasons – not for religious, business or partisan reasons. Even if your sources tell you not to believe, question why you should listen to just one source. It’s not healthy and definitely not sustainable. As progress moves at hyper speed, dogma and ideology will create too much inertia for believers who are just trying to survive and who deserve more from society and its leaders.
Be kind. Be safe. Be appropriate. Now go!
