Have Baggage, Will Travel

Leaving is a process. I suppose it comes with about as much baggage as my collection of suitcases. First, there is the “leaving behind” of things. Client work. Unfinished proposals. Deals not yet closed. Unresolved feelings that, frankly, won’t be fixed any time soon.

And then there are the people. They are family, really. It’s sort of like a break-up where you are hoping you can still be friends with the boyfriend’s parents!

And yet, I am SO excited. The job is exactly what I want. I AM MANAGING CLIENTS. I AM MANAGING PEOPLE. I am making more. (It’s high on my glitter list). And I feel like I’ll learn a lot – very high on my glitter list.

I’m ready to travel and leave the baggage behind. I’ll probably take one bag with me, and hold onto that baggage for a while, but… I eventually plan to replace it!
